Protected Mail Transfer
The Auditing Association of German Banks offers you the opportunity to access a protected mail transfer per S/MIME for any information and data exchange per e-mail between you and the Auditing Association of German Banks. To do this you need an X.509-based Certificate, which can acquire at a confidential Certification Centre. You can download our public key for the encrypted e-mail communication here:

Certification of the Auditing Association according to ISO 27001 based on IT-Grundschutz
The Auditing Association of German Banks is certified according to ISO 27001 based on IT-Grundschutz and is listed as a certified company at the "Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik" (BSI) under registration number BSI-IGZ-454-2021.
Subject of the certification is the information domain of the Auditing Association of German Banks and its affiliated companies (PBK Prüfungs- und Beratungsgesellschaft für das Kreditwesen mbH - Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, GDB Gesellschaft für Datensicherheit und IT-Beratung mbH, GBB-Rating Gesellschaft für Bonitätsbeurteilung mbH and Einlagensicherungs- und Treuhandgesellschaft mbH (EIS)), all located in Cologne, Germany.
The information domain covers the processing of information within the Audit Association of German Banks (including Eddies.eu - central data exchange platform for European Deposit Insurance Schemes, EdB contribution collection system, bank rating system as well as other systems in connection with depositor compensation) by means of physical and virtualized IT infrastructure based on current and common hardware and software technology platforms and operated entirely in Cologne, Germany.
The issue of the certificate in 2018 and the successful re-certification in 2021 confirms the existence and ongoing development of an appropriate Information Security Management System and the implementation of the required information security requirements in accordance with international standards. The Auditing Association and its affiliated companies thus ensure the confidentiality, availability and integrity of the data entrusted to us.
As part of a continuous improvement process, the applied processes and regulations are constantly reviewed and adjusted, particularly in the event of changes in the risk background for information processing.
Within the certification period of 3 years, the appropriate adjustments as well as the effectiveness of the regulations and the measures taken will be re-examined during annual surveillance audits.
The certificate, now valid until 2024, is to be further extended after its expiry through a new re-certification.
